Founding Full-Stack Engineer
Remote (US) Full-time
PlaceUp is a small team shipping fast. You'll work directly with the founders on the product that powers checkout, payouts, and the brand↔store marketplace.
We value people who take features from idea to production and care about the details that make retail feel effortless.
What you'll do
- Build features end-to-end across the web app, database, and payments.
- Ship to production every week and watch how real stores use it.
- Improve the checkout, payout, and inventory flows that move money.
- Keep the codebase clean, typed, and fast.
Who you are
- Strong with TypeScript and modern React / Next.js.
- Comfortable across the stack — Postgres, server actions, APIs.
- You ship, measure, and iterate.
- Thrive with ownership and little process.
Bonus if you have
- Payments experience (Stripe Connect, tax, payouts).
- You've been early at a startup before.
- An eye for product and design.
